Low cost airline Ryanair has announced new routes to Malta, including services to London Stansted (four times a week), Oslo (twice a week), Turin (twice a week), Bournemouth (twice a week), Malmo in Sweden (twice a week), Kaunas in Lithuania (twice a week) and Wroclaw in Poland (twice a week).
The new routes will start operating from May 2012. The new routes were announced by chief operating officer Michael Cawley, who hailed the success of current Ryanair services to Malta.
He said that Ryanair will thus operate 28 routes to Malta. He said they expected to attract a million passengers to Malta within a year.

Lowcost airline Ryanair is expanding its routes to Malta in May, leading property experts to predict growth for the island’s burgeoning property market.
The announcement of twice weekly flights from Bournemouth and four flights a week from London Stansted starting from May 2012 are predicted to boost traffic to the island to more than 1 million visitors each year, and the increase in tourism, as well as increased jobs on the island as a result of the new routes, is expected to have a positive impact on the island’s economy.
